Point Staffing Services

Owners Mike and Cindy Dumaine started this staffing business in 1985 as a franchise of a national company. In 2003, they agreed to part ways with the franchisor and renamed the company Point Staffing Services. They built the business, with the help of hard working employees, while raising four children. As local residents, they believe in supporting local businesses and charities. They believe that providing job opportunities for people in Greater Hartford and Greater Springfield is a service to the community. They are members of local Chambers of Commerce, the American Staffing Association, ANSERTEAM (a national staffing organization) and TempNet (an association of independent staffing companies). Mike was recently named to the Board of Directors of TempNet and is co-chair of the membership committee.

Kim Langevin is our On-Site Manager at Southern Auto Auction. Kim is our most senior employee other than our owners! She has been with Point Staffing for 11 years! Kim earned her degree from Westfield State in Criminal Justice and Psychology with a minor in Sociology.

Kim and her husband Gerry have two children, a horse, and two dogs. She loves the beach, North Carolina, monster trucks, and their Harley.

Francine Beaulieu is the Branch Manager of our Connecticut and West Springfield offices. She has been with Point Staffing for almost seven years. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Marketing from Eastern Connecticut State University. To further her education in the staffing industry, Francine obtained her Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist (CTS) certification in April of 2008. Francine and her family enjoy their yearly vacation to Disney in Orlando and spending time with their three dogs. Her interests include reading, gardening, and scrapbooking in her free time.

Jenni Guarino is one of our Senior Staffing Managers in our East Windsor office who has been with Point Staffing just over five years. She graduated from Springfield College in 2002 with a B.S. in Psychology and is a member of Psi Chi National Honor Society. She is recently married to her husband Paul, and they reside with their two German Shepherds, Hanz and Fred.

Michelle Perkins is one of our Senior Staffing Managers in our East Windsor office. She has been at Point Staffing Services for just over three years. She has been in the temporary staffing industry for the past 19 years. She has done traditional staffing for clerical and light industrial as well as medical staffing for nurses, nurse’s aides, and home health aides.

Michelle has a Bachelor of Science degree from Wheelock College in Child Life Specialist and Early Childhood Education. Her interests include traveling, cooking, gardening, and reading.

Jackie Dumaine is our newest Staffing Coordinator in Connecticut.  Jackie joined us in June and is new to the staffing industry.  She graduated from Wheelcok College in Boston, Ma with a B.S in Human Development and a minor in Early Childhood Education.  She's interested in community involvement and providing services to people in need or experiencing hardships.  Although teaching was a rewarding profession, Point Staffing Services offers her a similar sense of accomplishment in the human services profession.  She sends thanks to Mom and Dad as well as the rest of her family for support during her recent career change.

Shawn Kerswell is our Staffing Coordinator in the West Springfield office. He started at Point Staffing in September of 2007, after a seven-year career in the United States Army. Shawn is an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, and loves to golf. He is currently enrolled at Asnuntuck Community College where he is studying Business Management.

April Kelly is our Accounting Assistant who has been with Point Staffing since 2005. April has several years of experience in the staffing industry from other agencies such as J. Morrissey and Agentry. April graduated from Albertus Magnus College Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and is a member of the National Dean’s List. Her interests are the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots, and boating.

Karl Runte is our Director of Sales and Marketing. He joined Point Staffing in April of 2008. He is very active in client development, managing client relationships, and strategic marketing initiatives.

Prior to joining Point Staffing, Karl had worked for seven years with one of the largest privately held search firms in New England. Karl earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Assumption College.

Tim McNair is our Business Development Manager. Tim joined Point Staffing in 2005. He has 15 years of sales and marketing experience and has a BS in Physical Education from the University of Massachusetts. His interests include tennis, jogging, and gardening.

Fred Dearborn is our Senior IT Recruiter. He has been with Point Staffing for 5 years. He has 28 continuous years of IT recruiting in the Hartford Area with 15 years at Fanning Personnel and 9 years at his own agency, Data Connections. He and his wife Joan have 3 adult children. Fred is a graduate of Hartford College of Music. He enjoys reading science fiction novels.

Jessica Hunter is our On-Site Coordinator at Southern Auto Auction. She joined Point Staffing in October of 2006. Jessica graduated from Manchester Community College with an Associates Degree in General Studies. She is currently attending Central Connecticut State for her B.A. in H.R. with a minor in Marketing. Her interests include New York City, Broadway shows, the New York Yankees, the beach, and Coach!

Jessica Morales is our Receptionist in the West Springfield office. She has been working for Point Staffing Services since May of 2007. Her previous work experience includes Customer Service and Human Resources. This is her first experience working in a staffing agency and she is enjoying it. Jessica and her husband enjoy their time together with their five children and their latest addition, Princess, a Yorkie.

Lisa Beaulieu is our Receptionist in the East Windsor office. Lisa has worked for Point Staffing Services since May of 2007. She is working towards her B.A. in International Finance and enjoys the day to day contact she has with the people working for Point. In her free time she enjoys reading, road trips, and playing with her bunny named Gabe.

Beth Bielinski joined Point Staffing in 2006 as our Payroll Clerk. Before coming to Point Staffing, she and her husband Jack ran a local auto body repair shop for 26 years.
